Screenwriting as Cinematic Storytelling: Content, Construction, Consciousness
Writing for feature film necessitates an understanding of dramatic story fundamentals (plot, motivation, characterization) and application of visual cinematic elements. This course investigates through study, analysis, dialog, and practice the relationship between word and image in drafting the motion picture script. Meaning and emotion find expression through descriptive structure and “good story” while fulfilling imagination and evoking wonder.
